Botanical Musks Masterclass

Our Botanical Musks Masterclass is certified International Perfume Foundation.

In this workshop, you study the different musks in the perfumery market and history:

  1. You will learn the plant-based ingredients to make musk accords.
  2. We will see the components of botanical origin and the accords in detail.
  3. We will examine how those accords are essential in natural perfumery. 

You will practice the creation of the accords of the olfactory family or olfactory group, including some variations and facets.

The class is intensive and suitable for Advanced beginners, intermediate, advanced. After registration, the list of raw materials to be purchased will be sent.

What you will learn as part
of the program

The Botanical Musk Masterclass objectives

This module will cover some historical aspects of musk in the perfumery world. In addition, we will gain awareness of the importance of natural perfumery compositions.  

We will select and analyze suitable plant-based materials and evaluate their contribution to the composition of the accord or fragrance. 

In this module, you will learn accords’ creation, structure, and how they contribute to harmonizing natural fragrances. In addition, you will practice creating musk accords. 

In this module, we will see how to make changes to an accord and substitute some raw materials and create variations on the theme.

Length of the course: 4 weeks

The course includes International Perfume Foundation (IPF) Certification as an aromachologist and have your name listed in the IPF Directory. This program is the first step to become certified perfumotherapist.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing no later than two weeks before the start date of the course to be eligible for a refund, less a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the start date of the course, but 72 hours before the start of the course are eligible for a refund less 20% of the full registration price. Failure to appear at the program with no written cancellation 72 hours prior to the program will result in complete forfeiture of the registration fee. Registrations are non-transferable. Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to and Françoise will reply with a written acknowledgement.
